General Business Terms & Conditions
Greensteps Podiatry offers general podiatry treatments affecting the lower limb and feet. For more information what Podiatry services cover, please follow this link to the professional body for podiatrists, the College of Podiatry
We guarantee that all podiatry services offered shall be provided by a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) regulated podiatrist who has undertaken a BSc Hons in Podiatry or a podiatry student in training (with appropriate supervision and only with your specific consent). As regulated professionals, continual professional development shall be undertaken and appropriate insurance be in place. For more information on how the HCPC regulate the profession, please follow this link. For specific information about your podiatrist, please check the register via this link
All podiatrists operating under the umbrella of Greensteps Podiatry shall be full insured by an appropriate body with a cover of no less than £15 million liability cover.
Greensteps Podiatry practitioners can assess, diagnose and treat an array of foot and lower limb conditions. Should the situation arise where a condition is outside of the practitioner’s scope of practice or knowledge base, a referral may be suggested to seek additional specialist assistance; internally or externally. This referral shall be discussed, consented to by the client and either made on behalf of the client or the client can self-refer.
Some Podiatry treatments require the use of sharp instruments including, scalpels, nippers, metal files, drills. Whilst every effort is taken to ensure that no harm is caused with the use of such instruments, rarely a small cut can occur and cause a small bleed to the treated area/s.

We do not currently offer home visits.

Wherever possible, you must provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice by phone if you are unable to attend your appointment or cancel online the previous day.
If you fail to attend your appointment and you have not given us sufficient notice, we may issue and invoice and charge up to 100% of the treatment fee. We do however, understand that sometimes situations are unavoidable, and at the sole discretion of business owner Lara Cartwright, this fee may be discounted or waived.
If arrive later than 10 minutes for your scheduled appointment you may be refused treatment if there is not sufficient time to carry out a treatment and asked to reschedule your appointment.
If you arrive late for your appointment, we may be able see you for the remaining period of your allotted appointment slot, but your full appointment fee will stand.
End of business relationship
Greensteps Podiatry prides itself on a high level of professionalism. If you wish to log a complaint, please do so in person or via email to [email protected] for the attention of Lara Cartwright. A reply shall be provided within 48hrs.
Zero Tolerance
Greensteps Podiatry takes it very seriously if a team member or visitor is treated in an abusive or violent way. To successfully provide our services a mutual respect between all those operating as Greensteps Podiatry and clients has to be in place. We aim to be polite, helpful, and sensitive to all individual needs and circumstances. Aggressive behaviour, be it violent or abusive, will not be tolerated and may result in you being removed from our client list and, in extreme cases, the Police being contacted.
Consent
At each consultation / treatment, we shall obtain from you an understanding of what your expectations are of the services offered. We shall explain available treatment options to you and obtain your consent prior to undertaking any treatment.
